Wildcat thrower captures two events | Track and field

Archbishop Murphy junior Martin Napeahi took first place in the boys shot put and discus at the 2A Sno-King sub-district boys track and field championships Friday, May 12 at Cedarcrest High School.

Napeahi won the shot put with a throw of 46-02.50 and the discus with a mark of 143-03.

Senior Anfernee Gurley captured the 100 in 11.44 and senior Chris Reynaud won the pole vault with a season’s best mark of 13-06.

The Wildcats 400 relay team of Raymond Pimentel, Anfernee Gurley, Paul Schireman and Max Kelleher finished first in 44.41.

In the girls meet, Archbishop Murphy sophomore Holly Sudol took second in the high jump and long jump.

The Wildcats took fourth overall in the boys meet and were fifth in the girls meet.
