Herbie invites you to discover why summer is more fun in Mill Creek

If you live in the area, you’ve undoubtedly spotted all kinds of critters in your garden:  those endearing robins, hummingbirds and butterflies, or those not-so-desirable flower-eating bunnies and annoying, lawn-ruining moles.

In May, there’ll be a new critter in town: It’s Herbie!   He’s the charismatic, but somewhat madcap birdie chosen to be the face of the Fifth Annual Mill Creek Garden Tour & Artisan Market 2019, scheduled for Saturday, June 22.

Herbie, the brainchild of WSU Cougar Alum, Fine Arts degree recipient and Mill Creek Garden Club President Lyndal Kennedy, will be featured on the 2019 Tour Guide and posters, which will start springing up in early May.

Herbie, with flowers jauntily clutched between his beak, has flown off Lyndal’s sketch pad to spread the word about Mill Creek Garden Club’s only fundraiser of the year.  Save the date: June 22 to tour six great gardens at your own pace. Tours will be available from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.

As a special bonus, this year 10 talented artisans will have their works scattered among the gardens.

Tickets go on sale May 1 at $15 for all ages ($20 day of tour) at Artisan Custom Framing & University Book Store, both in the Mill Creek Town Center. Tickets are also available at Li’l Sprout Nursery & Garden Center on the Bothell-Everett Highway in Mill Creek and Molbak’s in Woodinville.

Get your tickets early. We sold out last year!    Check out their website: www.millcreekgardenclub.com or search for Mill Creek Garden Tour on social media. (Facebook)
