Mill Creek Interim City Manger Bob Stowe was arrested Friday morning on charges of Domestic Violence and unlawful imprisonment, according to a spokesperson for the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Department.

Details of the arrest were unclear, but records indicate the city official was arrested and jailed for probable cause. His bail hearing has been set for Sunday.

Stowe has served as the interim city manager for Mill Creek since spring in the wake of the controversy over two separate whistleblower complaints filed against former City Manager Rebecca Polizzotto. She was officially terminated by the City Council on Oct. 2.

Stowe was asked to extend his short-term contract at the same meeting. The interim city manager is currently on a contract that pays him  $275 per hour for an average of 20 hours per week. He had indicated that he was not interested in applying for the permanent position.
