Judges, restaurants announced for Clam Chowder Cook-Off

The Edmonds Chamber of Commerce has announced its guest judges and participating restaurants for the Clam Chowder Cook-Off next month.

Dave Earling: Edmonds mayor; Nancy Leson: Edmonds resident, commentator for KNKX radio, former Seattle Times columnist; Heather Bosch: Reporter, King 5; Kathy Passage: Local freelance food writer; and Jon Rowley: Marketing and Promotions, Taylor Shellfish Farms.

Participating restaurants will compete to be the “Best Chowder in Edmonds.” They are Ivar’s, Salt and Iron, Bar Dojo, Here and There Grill, Red Twig Café, Scott’s Bar & Grill, Salish Sea Brewing, Swedish Edmonds, 190 Sunset and Pacific Northwest Catering.

Proceeds from the second annual event will help fund the chamber’s An Edmonds Kind of 4th parade and fireworks shows. The Clam Chowder Cook-Off is noon to 4 p.m. (11 a.m. for VIP ticket-holders) Feb. 25 at the Edmonds Yacht Club, 326 Admiral Way.
