The Mill Creek Little League senior all-stars wrapped up their season with an appearance at the Senior League Baseball West Regional tournament in Sacramento, California.

Mill Creek, which defeated Redmond in the Washington State title game on July 10, went 1-2 in the tournament. Mill Creek defeated Montana 10-0 on July 19 but then lost 12-0 to eventual champion Hawaii on July 21. The all-stars then fell 7-4 to Arizona on July 22.

A day after the loss to Mill Creek, Montana had its gear stolen. In a act of sportsmanship, the Mill Creek players lent their equipment to the Montana team. Mill Creek also was selected to be one of the buddy teams for the Challenger games at the tournament. The Challenger Division is Little League’s adaptive baseball program for individuals with physical and intellectual challenges.

The Mill Creek all-stars were: Alex Edwards, Alex Vierra, Cam Albright, Dom Cantrell, Eligh Wahlgren, Evan Hicks, Hayden Miller, Jeremy Vierra, Kayden Shaw-Fleury, Sam Bennett, Steven Verver, Xavier Wilkening-Joly, Zach Allen and Marcus Grenier.

The manager was Robert Allen and the assistant coaches were Joe Fleury and Jeremy Wahlgren.
