A pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle when he walked into the roadway on Airport Road last week remains in critical condition.

Officers from the Everett Police Department were dispatched to the 11700 block of Airport Rd on Friday night, Sept. 1, to investigate a collision. Arriving officers, found a pedestrian had been struck by a northbound Honda.

The force of the collision apparently forced the pedestrian inside the vehicle. He was extracted by Everett Fire and transported to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett.

Detectives believe the pedestrian was a 56-year-old Everett man. Everett police are investigating if alcohol was a factor in his actions.

The driver was a 32-year-old Everett man who remained at the scene and cooperated with detectives. The driver was not injured in the collision.

Police do not believed alcohol or drugs were factors in the actions of the driver.

Detectives continue working the case and impounded the vehicle pending a search warrant for possible evidence.
