Archbishop Murphy’s Devin Moore took first place in the 182-pound division at the Cascade Conference tournament.

Moore was the lone Wildcat to advance to the finals Saturday, Jan. 27, at Granite Falls High School.

Moore, who improved to 19-3, finished second in the league and took sixth place at last year’s regional tournament.

“He has done a good job,” Archbishop Murphy coach Blaine Gilchrist-Smith said.

Archbishop Murphy’s lone state returner, junior Colin Howell finished third at 138.

Howell, 15-6, wrestled at 120 last year. Another top Wildcat prospect is senior Matt Keck at 195. He ended up placing fourth.

The 2A South Sub-Regional tournament is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 3, at Cedarcrest High School. The top two finishers advance to the regional tournament.
