2-4 p.m. at the Mariner Library (520 128th St. SW Suites A9 & A10 in Everett). Word play is delightful and stimulating. To energize the flow of writing, participants focus on process through basic examples and fun exercises, which bulldoze past writer's block. Build a supply of relevant words. Join great writers in creating words for emphasis, contrasts and clarity. In rewriting, eliminate powerless words and replace with picturesque, positive choices. For sentences, arrange word placement to empower statements. Through edit sheets, writers study subtle differences in pejorative words and listen to alliteration, repetition and rhythm to enhance paragraphs.
